Great Pacific Garbage II

When I pressed play, I thought there was no way I would sit down and watch a 17 minute short film about a plastic bag. By the end, I was riveted.

This is one of the best short films I’ve seen in a while. Ramin Bahrani, director of Goodbye Solo, tells the story of a plastic bag voiced by W. Herzog. Somehow he made a great film about love, looking for meaning and the beauty of life with Werner the Safeway bag as the main character. There’s also cameo by Put It Up’s #1 post, the garbage patch.

Go watch.
