I Can’t Fell My Face or… My Face Can’t Be Felt? (finally)

Four songs, uh, leaked sort of, and honestly they were kind of disappointing for two of the best in the “game.” I guess I feel this one is the best. Stevie Wonder beat, a few decent Wayne lyrics and some underwhelming Santana (who can be great). “I’m homer/ and your a simp’ son/ and i’m pimp son.” I actually found one of the blog responses really funny (even as a Wayne fan). This time, I decided to make the tape with all new material; new songs from small artists that I found in the last few months (+some).  Blog stuff. I endorse all the tracks on here, though.  All are great, a few are ’09 classics.  I’d be interested to see which ones catch on. Let me know.

Two things Kevin likes and listens to a lot; NPR presents Leonard Cohen live in London. Because none of us really have the dough to shell out and see a living legend, we must resort to the internet. Get yourself some live Leonard Cohen right here! He still sounds spectacular, by the way. Gotta love that voice.

UPDATE: I just listened to all three hours of this and it is spectacular. Do yourself the favor!

That means you will be hearing Rose Melberg 3 times (although, to be fair, in 3 different incarnations). As for the cover, it is the park near my apartment and, well, that is what Spring looks like for me at this point. The album strikes a lighter tone. Anyhow, enjoy. The track list is after this thing (and you will recognize nearly all of it). Continue reading

From This Will Spring

A collection of songs having much to do with rivers, homes, hardship & heartbreak. As you can see, the cover-art couldn’t be more different from the sharp tones of the recent “Sprungtime.” I hope you enjoy these ditties (I’m sure many of them will be familiar revisits) and that they help usher in this curious season associated with renewal before the summer is soon upon us. The stream becomes a river becomes a link.
