Summer Drool II
For those of you that liked the mixtape I made around this time last year–and for those that didn’t–I’d like to preset its follow-up, Summer Drool II. Although I wasn’t planning on putting this up for a while, I took a walk to get some cocktails with it yesterday and felt arguably drunker on the way there than the way back. Unlike my last few mixtapes which may have (hopefully) inspired some head, ear or heartache, the Drool tapes’ purpose is simply to share some no-fuss, feel-good pop music. I hope that at some point this can be heard with good company on a patio at twilight (drink in hand). And if the job’s done right, 30-minutes in everyone should be dancing on chairs by pounding fists into the air–or at least behaving like these hooligans:
With 17 hearty summertime songs, I think I’ve put enough together to endure a long hot season, wherever you may be. And yes, Summertime Clothes is on it. Find the rest of the track list after the clicker.
