Drought Songs

Yes. Today I had the first chance I’ve had in a while to listen to some new music. Surprisingly enough, (for such a quiet year) I came away with two strong endorsements for you. The first was just a matter of the band not blowing it. No Age didn’t and Nouns exceeded most of my expectations. The second has been creating buzz with the NPR set, but is worth some spins. Quite Village’s Silent Movie is mostly instrumental, and morphs between movie soundtrack, electronic, and a murky funk. Hard to pin down but a good listen.
